Fire Station No. 5 Kitchen Renovation

Project Information

The Fire Station No. 5 is a wood frame, one–story structure built in the early '80s. After 30 years of continuous use, the kitchen was in need of a facelift to provide a pleasant environment for the firemen and women who call this station their home away from home. Architecture Services was tasked to give the kitchen an overhaul and bring a new look to this otherwise bright space.

The design blends the modern style with a warm color and material palette. The cabinets feature a two-tone scheme that resist dirt and yet easy on the eyes. The wood grain laminate on the top cabinets accentuates the space and provides a residential kitchen feel. The black laminate on the base cabinets transitions seamlessly to the stainless steel countertop which can handle any heavy-duty cooking thrown at it. The floor was updated to a polished concrete look for the ease of cleaning and maintenance. The men and women at the Fire Station No. 5 can surely use and enjoy this bright and modern kitchen for many years to come.
