Palisades Park Landscape

Project Information

Palisades Park is a 26.4 acre park which runs parallel to Ocean Avenue and extends northwest from Colorado Boulevard to Adelaide Drive in Santa Monica California. The park occupies a narrow strip of land which sits atop coastal sandstone bluffs, with amazing views of the Santa Monica Bay. The southeastern end of the park, near the junction if Ocean Avenue and Colorado Boulevard, is adjacent to the main point of access from Downtown Santa Monica to the Santa Monica Pier and is in close proximity to the iconic Santa Monica Pier Sign.

Landscape at the south end of the park directly adjacent to the City’s Esplanade Project is being converted to drought-tolerant landscape resistant to trampling and heavy pedestrian traffic.
