City Attorney's Office Hosts Fair Housing Workshop April 18, 2017
The Consumer Protection Division of the Santa Monica City Attorney's Office will sponsor the workshop Fair Housing Issues in Rental Housing on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 9 am to 12 pm at the Santa Monica Main Library. Provided during National Fair Housing Month, the workshop is part of the City's ongoing efforts to increase awareness of the fair housing laws.
The presenters include Chancela Al-Mansour, Executive Director of the Southern California Housing Rights Center; the California Department of Fair Housing and Employment (invited); Denise McGranahan, Senior Staff Attorney at the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, and Deputy City Attorney Gary Rhoades and Consumer Specialist Andrea Cavanaugh from the City Attorney's Office.
All owners, property managers, attorneys, social service providers, and tenants are invited to attend free of charge. A continental breakfast will be provided and parking at the library will be validated. Space is limited so please register early. Register HERE by April 14, 2017
