SUBJECT: Certification of Statement of Official Action for Appeal 98-007 of the Planning Commission's Approval of Conditional Use Permit 98-003 to Allow the Issuance of a Type-47 (On-Sale General),a Type-66 (Controlled Access), and a Type-68 (Portable Bar) Alcohol License to be Used In Conjunction with a 175 Room Hotel. Applicant: Le Merigot Hotel/Columbia Sussex Corporation. Appellants: Stephanie Barbanell and Jerry Bass

INTRODUCTION

This report transmits for City Council certification the Statement of Official Action for Appeal 98-007 of the Planning Commission's approval of Conditional Use Permit 98-003 to allow the issuance of a Type-47 (On-Sale General), a Type-66 (Controlled Access), and a Type-68 (Portable Bar) alcohol license to be used in conjunction with the operation of a 175 room hotel.

On October 27, 1998, the Council did not adopt a motion to approve or deny the appeal. Therefore, the Planning Commission approval was upheld as stated in the attached Statement of Official Action.

BUDGET/FINANCIAL IMPACT

The recommendation presented in this report has no budget or financial impact.

RECOMMENDATION

It is respectfully recommended that the City Council approve the attached Statement of Official Action.
