Addressing Homelessness in Santa Monica

Homeless VeteranVeterans

Military combat can cause wounds that last beyond the battlefield. While military service does not cause homelessness, it is strongly associated with factors that can contribute to life on the streets.

The City and our partner service providers work with the VA Greater Los Angeles Healthcare System to help homeless veterans access services and permanent housing. City-funded agencies including OPCC, St. Joseph Center, and Step Up on Second - under the guidance and generous support of Supervisor Sheila Kuehl's Office.

If you are a veteran in Los Angeles County in danger of becoming homeless, contact the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans toll free at 1-800-838-4357 (1-800-VET-HELP).
