The City of Santa Monica is working closely with the
Department of Public Health to monitor COVID-19 and local impacts.
As an essential service, the Farmers Markets will REMAIN OPEN as an option for shoppers to continue having access to fresh produce in an open setting while maximizing social distancing. The market's continuation of service will also minimize economic impacts to participating small family farmers, so they remain able to serve the market community in the months and years to come.
Market Hand Washing Options
Additional options for hand washing stations are available throughout each market in addition to plumbed restrooms.
Which Vendors are Participating?
FARMERS ONLY at this time. At this time our prepared and prepackaged food vendors, entertainers, activity providers and education programs are suspended.
What Products are Available at the Markets?
You will find California farmers selling products they grow including fresh fruit, vegetables, shelled nuts, dried fruit, dairy (milk, cheese, yogurt, eggs), meats (chicken, beef, lamb, goat, rabbit, duck), flowers, plants and seedlings, processed farm products (cured olives, olive oil, jams, juices, pickles, salsa, etc.). Products very from market to market and are based on seasonality and weather conditions.
Do Farmers Offer CSA boxes, pre-order, pick-up or Online Ordering?
Many farmers have additional distribution channels. Click HERE for the last information on where else you can purchase from our vendors.

FIRE AND THE FARMERS MARKETS
The City of Santa Monica does not face a significant wildfire threat. Santa Monica can be impacted by secondary effects of wild land fires such as freeway closures, utility disruptions, and poor air quality. Occasionally poor air quality necessitates the closure of the farmers markets to protect staff, vendors and customers.
