Santa Monica Arts Foundation Arts Leadership Awards

The Arts Leadership Awards honor exemplary leaders who support Santa Monica's artistic, creative, and cultural communities. The awards honor individuals – including arts supporters, artists, and youth –  and businesses or organizations. The awards will be presented at the Annenberg Community Beach House in April 2020. Santa Monicans interested in nominating an individual who lives or works in Santa Monica, or a resident organization, can find nomination forms and instructions by clicking here.

Arts Patron Award: An individual or business leader providing notable support for the arts in Santa Monica.

Artist in the Community/Bruria Finkel Award: An artist who has contributed significantly to Santa Monica's arts community as an arts activist, patron, and/or volunteer.

Creative Community Innovator Award: A creative business or organization contributing to Santa Monica's arts and culture sector through support for artists or art-making, public events, experimental cultural programming, or cutting-edge design.

“Pursuing Green Office Certification”

To assist in the efforts of creating a sustainable city, Cultural Affairs not only recognizes the importance of incorporating the City’s sustainable design in its projects, but also values its role in creating a healthy work environment for staff that supports the City’s sustainability policies and models sustainable best practices for the office place.

Cultural Affairs is continuously working towards implementing sustainable practices that will provide staff with a greener and healthier workplace. We have implemented simple practices such as purchasing supplies that will have less impact on the environment, using less-toxic cleaning products, reducing waste, practicing water efficiency, and promoting green commuting by ride-sharing, walking and providing staff with a Bike@Work bicycle.

Cultural Affairs' Green Office Certification is modeled after the Santa Monica Green Business Certification Program, a free program that provides sustainability consultation services to businesses that operate in Santa Monica.
