WE ARE COMMITTED TO PROTECTING PUBLIC HEALTH

ATTEND THE MARKETS SAFELY

The City of Santa Monica is working closely with the Department of Public Health to monitor COVID-19 and local impacts. As an essential service, the Farmers Markets REMAIN OPEN. The market's continuation of service will also minimize economic impacts to participating small family farmers, so they remain able to serve the market community in the months and years to come.

Which Vendors are Participating?

Due to space restrictions at the downtown locations, only farmers are participating at this time.
At the Pico farmers markets, farmers and pre-packaged food vendors are participating.
At the Sunday Main Street farmers market, farmers, pre-packaged foods and local retail vendors are permitted to participate.
Hot food vendors, entertainment and education programs are suspended at all SMFMS until further notice.

FIRE AND THE FARMERS MARKETS

The City of Santa Monica does not face a significant wildfire threat. Santa Monica can be impacted by secondary effects of wild land fires such as freeway closures, utility disruptions, and poor air quality.  Occasionally poor air quality necessitates the closure of the farmers markets to protect staff, vendors and customers.  To learn about market closures we recommend you utilize one of the following tools:
