PROMENADE MAINTENANCE
The Public Landscape Division’s Promenade Maintenance staff maintains 30 blocks of downtown Santa Monica, including the Colorado Esplanade. Our staff picks up litter; scrubs, sweeps and pressure washes the sidewalks; cleans benches, directories and sculptures; maintains landscaping; empties trash cans and removes graffiti. Promenade Maintenance and Urban Forest staff collaborated to complete the annual tree maintenance along the
3rd Street Promenade in February, pruning 65 Mexican fan palms and 95 jacaranda trees.
