Residential Building Report
A Residential Building Report ('RBR') is required prior to entering into an agreement of sale or exchange of any residential building. The RBR shall be provided by the City, at the owner or authorized agent's request, and includes the regularly authorize use, occupancy, zoning classification, and other property data. The RBR is valid for a period of six months from the date of issuance. See SMMC Chapter 9.29 (Presale Reporting Procedures) for more information.
To submit a request for a RBR, visit the City's online Citizen Access system. Instructions on how to submit a request online can be found on the Residential Building Report Application Instructions handout. Additional questions can be direct to a Permit Specialist in-person at the public counter at the Permit Services Center, by phone at 310-458-8355, or by email at email@example.com.
