Sustainable City Plan - Reporting

The city developed two reporting tools. The tools are intended to provide useful information to City Council, City staff, and community members on progress being made toward meeting goals and targets of the Plan, and will provide a basis for decision-making about policies and actions that influence the City’s ability to meet the goals and targets. The first tool is the Sustainable City Progress Report. The second tool is the Sustainable City Report Card.

The Sustainable City Progress Report is a web based tool that provides current, detailed analysis of the data for each indicator in the Santa Monica Sustainable City Plan.

The Sustainable City Report Card is a summary document that provides an overview of our progress towards, and challenges to, becoming a sustainable community. The Report Card presents goal area summaries and grades based on the specific indicator data.

Together, these two tools are the definitive resource for community decision makers. In order to become a sustainable community all community members must be educated and empowered to achieve our sustainability goals.
