Clean Power Alliance offers three rate options designed to suit the diverse needs of our community:

100% Green Power

Clean Power

Lean Power

Provides 100% renewable power giving you the opportunity to lead by example - for a greener future.

Provides 50% renewable power and the opportunity to support building a cleaner future.

Provides 36% renewable power at the lowest cost-with the added benefit of local management and control.

What comes next? What are my options?

Customers will receive a total of four notices via mail before and after the switch from SCE to Clean Power Alliance. The first notice is scheduled to be distributed in December 2018. The notices will give you information about your new energy choices, including how to make changes to your account and customer support contact information.

Santa Monica has chosen 100% Green Power as the default product for our community, taking one big step to reaching carbon neutrality. At any time, you can:

  • Do nothing - enjoy 100% renewable energy serving your electricity needs starting in 2019
  • Select one of CPA's other options: Clean Power providing 50% renewable content, or Lean Power, providing 36% renewable content.
  • Opt out without penalty and your electricity generation charges will remain with Southern California Edison (SCE).
  • Low-income customers enrolled in discount programs such as CARE and FERA will be able to enjoy 100% Green Power at the same rates as they were previously paying to SCE.
  • Customers who opt down to lower levels of renewable energy or opt out to remain with SCE can change their preferences at any time. For more information visit www.cleanpoweralliance.org or to indicate your preferences, contact Clean Power Alliance at customerservice@cleanpoweralliance.org or 888-585-3788.
