Trades Intern Program

The salary starts at $15.37 per hr. Perform a variety of unskilled or semiskilled tasks as part of the City of Santa Monica Trades Intern Program. The goal of this program is to provide paid training in the City so that program participants can acquire the skills that will prepare them for future employment in the skilled trades.

To qualify for the Trades Intern Program, a participant must meet the following criteria:

Residency Santa Monica resident and/or attend school in Santa Monica
Legal Residency   Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
Age Must be at least 18  years of age by the application filing closing date.
Drivers Valid California Drivers' License
Education Must be enrolled in school, either in a GED program, Adult Education, Vocational school, high school, or college during the course of employment.
