About Us

Community & Cultural Services oversees a diverse range of programs, projects and services with one thing in common: people. We work with the community to create and operate beautiful, accessible public spaces and facilities for all to enjoy. We produce programs and events that enrich the lives of community members - culturally, socially, and physically.  We also ensure that supportive services are available for those in need, including children, families, seniors, people with disabilities and low-income or homeless individuals. In short, our work enhances the overall wellbeing of Santa Monica's residents and visitors.

PROPOSED ACTIVITY FEE INCREASE 

Fee changes and increases are proposed for many of the programs and services offered by the Human Services, Community Recreation, and Cultural Affairs divisions. The proposed fee changes are based on an analysis on existing fees, costs to provide programs and services, and associated cost recovery rates and would be included in the proposed FY 2018-19 budget presented in May and may be adopted by Council in June 2018 for the FY 2018-19 budget.
