CREST = Childcare, Recreation, Enrichment, Sports...Together

The CREST Youth Office is now open to the public.  Patrons are now being served in our office, one person/family at a time. The State of California is fully reopening its economy and LA County is working to modify its health guidance. Santa Monica will follow the lead of our County health authority and make gradual changes to our COVID-19 safety requirements. The City is committed to a safe and clean Santa Monica, and will continue to require all visitors and City staff to wear face masks when indoors in City government facilities to ensure a safe reopening process for all staff and visitors and to ensure compliance with Cal/OSHA standards.

The CREST programs are available to students attending SMMUSD schools. It is an easy way for parents to add more fun to their child's day with before, after and out-of-school activities that appeal to a broad range of interests. Our highly-trained, professional staff work with children year-round, right at their school site - no travel time or additional coordination required!

Types of Programs

  • CREST Club
  • Enrichment
  • CREST’s Enrichment program will adjust its start date from September 20, 2021 to October 4, 2021, changing the fall session from 10 weeks to an 8-week session. This adjustment is needed to provide time to continue to hire and train new staff to ensure the City meets child safety ratios. The City’s as-needed staff numbers were greatly affected by the economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic and the Community Services Department has been working in partnership with HR to hire and properly train staff to ensure our community’s youth have a positive and safe experience. CREST Club and seasonal camps will continue to be offered. A pro-rated fee adjustment will be processed prior to the week of October 4th. Thank you for your patience.

    Code of Conduct

CREST is dedicated to cultivating an environment that is inclusive, and that promotes and encourages positive youth character development. Use of profanity, demeaning language, and/or behavior that is perceived as aggressive or threatening to participants, spectators, or staff is unacceptable in any program area. Staff have an obligation to do all they can to prevent mistreatment or bullying of youth by anyone, including other staff, other adults, or other youth. Bullying is aggressive or threatening behavior that is intentional, repeated, and involves an imbalance of power or strength. Bullying may be based on actual or perceived race, color, ethnicity, religion, national origin, sex, age, marital status, personal appearance, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, intellectual ability, familial status, family responsibilities, matriculation, political affiliation, genetic information, disability, source of income, or any other distinguishing characteristic, or on a person's association with a person or group with any of the actual or perceived foregoing characteristics. Adults affiliated with a child participant exhibiting these behaviors may be asked to leave the program area and their child participant could be subject to withdrawal from the program.
