Meeting Rooms

Rooms at Virginia Avenue Park

Two community rooms at Virginia Avenue Park are available on Saturdays & Sundays, 8 am - 10 pm.

  • The Patio is a 1-room building next to the splash pad, making it a popular spot for children's birthday parties. The room accommodates 30 - 36 persons.
  • Thelma Terry Building Workshop 3 is a traditional classroom-style space. The room accommodates up to 100 persons.

Reservations may be made as early as 3 months in advance, and no less than two weeks prior to an event. If you are a Santa Monica resident, proof of address is required and must be submitted with your Room Reservation Application. Full payment is expected at time of application. All applications are subject to approval. Incomplete applications will not be approved.

Reservations for these rooms are managed by Virginia Avenue Park staff. Please
call 310-458-8688 to check availability before submitting an application.

Rooms at Other Parks

Community rooms are also available at Douglas Park, Euclid Park, Joslyn Park, Marine Park, Memorial Park, and Reed Park. For more information about reservations, please click on the Park Room Reservation Application below.

Reservations for these rooms are managed by the Community Recreation Division. Please call 310-458-8300 with any questions.

The Ken Edwards Center 

The rooms at the Ken Edwards Center are available to grant holding organizations and city meetings. For information about becoming a grant holder, please contact humanservices@smgov.net. 


Nonprofit Rates
Santa Monica-based nonprofit organizations may qualify for a discounted rate for park room reservations. The Ken Edwards Center does not offer a discounted nonprofit rate.

Mark your calendar for a season of classes for youth and adults, swimming and fitness:

  • Priority resident registration: Online August 1, 2018 (6am) through August 7, 2018
  • Non-resident registration: Beginning August 8, 2018 (6am). Registration continues throughout the season.
