976 - City Utility Billing Procedures

The City of Santa Monica's Utilities Division bills for water, sewer and refuse services for residents and businesses of the city. Water meters are read approximately every 60 days and customers are billed approximately two weeks thereafter. Payment is due thirty days after the bill is prepared. Questions regarding bills, application for or cancellation of service, water and sewer rates, and general inquiries may be directed to (310) 458-8224 Monday through Thursday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and on  Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. After hours and on weekends you may leave a message and your call will be returned on the next business day.
