The City of Santa Monica's Solid Waste Management Division customer service staff handles calls relating to refuse and recycling collection, street sweeping, special collection of large items. Customer service staff is available at (310) 458-2223, Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays. Although customer service is closed on holidays observed by the city, refuse collection does occur on some holidays. For the holiday collection schedule, please refer to Message 866.
