866 - Refuse, Recycling & Yard Waste Pick-up - Holiday Schedule

Refuse, recycling and yard debris are collected on a regular Monday through Friday schedule. The city’s Solid Waste Management Division observes the following holidays and there is no collection:

New Year's Day (January 1), Martin Luther King Jr. Day (the third Monday in January), Presidents' Day (the third Monday in February), Memorial Day (the last Monday in May), Independence Day (July 4), Labor Day (the first Monday in September), Thanksgiving Day (the fourth Thursday in November), and Christmas Day (December 25).

Residential refuse which would normally be picked up on a day that falls on a holiday will be collected on the following day, and for the remainder of that week all refuse collection will be one day behind the regular schedule. For instance, if a holiday falls on a Monday, Monday routes will be collected on Tuesday, Tuesday routes on Wednesday and so on. Friday routes will be collected on Saturday.
