The City of Santa Monica 's Code Compliance section of the Planning & Community Development Department is responsible for enforcing local safety ordinances, including abandoned vehicles, unkempt property, accumulations of trash and debris and litter. If you would like additional information about any of these ordinances, or wish to file a complaint concerning potential violations, please call Code Compliance at (310) 458-4984, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on alternate Fridays. After hours and on weekends, you may leave a message and your call will be returned on the next business day.
