340 – Personnel Board

The Personnel Board is an advisory body to the City Council and Human Resources Director on matters related to personnel administration. It provides quasi-judicial review of employee appeals of certain disciplinary actions.

The Personnel Board consists of five members who are qualified electors of the city. None may hold any public office or public employment, among other criteria. Commissioners serve five-year terms.

The Personnel Board meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6:00 p.m., in the Public Safety Facility at 333 Olympic Drive. Agendas for this and all other city boards and commissions are available at smgov.net/cityclerk/boards.

For more information on the Personnel Board, please call (310) 458-8246 Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., and alternate Fridays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
