320 - Building & Safety Commission
The
Building & Safety Commission meets at the request of two members, on the call of the chair or when an appeal is filed by an applicant at the Building and Safety Office, 1685 Main Street, Room 111.
The Building & Safety Commission conducts hearings on policy and technical issues involving specific provisions of the construction and ordinances in Article
8 of the Santa Monica Municipal Code. Members also review updated editions of the construction codes with staff and recommend appropriate revisions for the city’s fire, seismic, health and other public safety programs.
