Americans With Disabilities Act and Disability Services164 - Recreation for People With Disabilities The City of Santa Monica's Community Programs Division offers social and sports programs for people with disabilities who live or work in the city. People with disabilities are welcome in all Community Programs classes and activities, not just those designated for people with disabilities. Westside Special Olympics is a year round program providing athletic opportunities for individuals aged 8 and older with developmental disabilities. Participation opportunities include, but are not limited to, tennis, bowling, aquatics, basketball, volleyball, golf, bocce and gymnastics. These activities are offered free of charge. Social programs include the Explorers Club which brings together people with and without disabilities for excursions to a variety of locations and events. Social Club is held weekly and a dance program is held each month. The fee and location depend on the scheduled activity.
