SURF ACADEMY (AGES 8-17) |
One of our most popular camps! Surf Academy offers fun-filled, girls-only (Wahine)
and boys-only (Kanaka) surf camps! Children will love the group surf instruction that is
taught by an energetic and well-trained, safety-minded staff. This camp teaches safe
ocean swim and surf skills. Learn how to spot unsafe situations, select and ride safe waves
and become a lifelong surfer. Aloha Friday is a favorite day for campers to show-off their
surfing to welcome parents. Soft surfboards and Body Glove wetsuits are provided.
Bring water, lunch, snack and sunscreen. Camp is held at Tower 28, park at 2600
Barnard Way (S. of Ocean Park Blvd.). Director Mary Setterholm & Staff.

BEACH KIDS BODY BOARD CAMP (AGES 5-7) |
For the young surfer who wants to take in all the beach and wave action in a supervised,
safe, fun and creative program. Kids will have a great time learning the basics of body
boarding,
Aloha and beach games. Campers will learn about tides and the moons gravity,
small wave surfing, body boarding, how to navigate surf and recognize rip currents.
Aloha Friday is a favorite day for campers to show-off their surfing towel come parents.
Wetsuits and BZ Bodyboard are provided. Bring water, lunch, snack and sunscreen.
Camp is held at Tower 28,park at 2600 Barnard Way (S. of Ocean Park Blvd.).

SANTA MONICA BEACH VOLLEYBALL CAMP (AGES 913) |

| Brought to you by BeachSports, learn all aspects of the beach volleyball game.
Passing, hitting, serving, rotation. Agility, vertical jump and polymeric will be part of
the instruction schedule. Starter and intermediate skills. Fee includes a BeachSports
Rashguard and Mikasa beach volleyball, and Fridays are Pizza Day! All coaches are CPR
and First Aid trained and experienced coaches or players. 1 coach per 8 campers.

SUNDAY SILVER SURFERS (AGES 50+) NEW!
It is absolutely not too late to start surfing! You wont be a pro but you will have more fun in these Sunday classes. Learn the basics and beyond of ocean safety, surfboard handling skills, wave selection, techniques to ride a wave adapted to your athletic ability. Soft surfboards and wetsuits provided. Show up with a bathing suit that fits and Surf Academy will do the rest!

WEEKEND WARRIORS (AGES 12-50)
Surf Academy welcomes first-timers and intermediate surfers for Saturday and Sunday surf lessons. Class is divided according to ability and you will learn new skills in surfboard selection, care and handling, wave selection, and techniques for safe fun surfing. WALK-UP SURF LESSONS BY SURF ACADEMY (AGES 12 & UP)
Registration taken ONLY at Tower 28. Show up 15minutes early to register and get suited up in a wetsuit, soft surfboard provided. Lessons taught at your level, whether first timer or intermediate. ISLANDS SURF CAMP (AGES 5-17) |
A great way for kids and teens to build confidence, make new friends, and share in the joys
of surfing. Each day, campers receive instruction from our staff of certified lifeguards on all
aspects of beach and ocean safety, along with introductions into first aid and CPR. Islands
Surf Camp provides a fun, safe and encouraging experience. Location: Lifeguard Towers 24,
