The City of Santa Monica is dedicated to preventing and addressing homelessness in our community. Our collaborative approach spans prevention, outreach, permanent housing, transitional housing and shelter, and supportive services. Together, we are working to address homelessness in our city.
Notice of Public Hearing
The City Council of the City of Santa Monica will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday March 18, 2014 to receive public comment on the Annual Review of the City's Plan for Homeless Services for FY 2012-13.
Read the Results of the 2014 Santa Monica Homeless Count
City staff presented the results of Santa Monica's 2014 Homeless Count to the Social Services Commission on February 24th. Overall, the City witnessed a 5% decrease in homelessness. Missed the meeting? No problem, please read the presentation here.
Annual Review to City Council
A review of the City's Plan for Homeless Services took place on Tuesday, November 27, 2012. Conducted as a public hearing before City Council, this is an opportunity for the community to provide input on strategies to address homelessness.
