Date: April 22, 2008 Contact: Judith Graham, Public Services Librarian, Public & Branch Services (310) 458-2295 “Avenel Chamber Players in Concert” Celebrating 35 years of a Special Library Community Service Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library presents an afternoon concert featuring the Avenel Chamber Players helping to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Shut-In Services – a special service delivering Library items to homebound Santa Monica residents – and the volunteers who provide it. The concert will take place Saturday, April 26, 2008, at 2:00 p.m., in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd. The Avenel Chamber Players will perform pieces by Albert Roussel and others* with Jennifer Adrian on horn, Lori Musicant Koch on clarinet, Holly Patterson on oboe & English horn, Sean Stackpoole on flute & saxophones, Stephen Thirous on bassoon & contrabassoon and Paul Wiesepape on piano. Admission is free. Seating is limited, and on a first arrival basis.
