Date: April 15, 2008 Contact: Sylvia Anderle, Fairview Branch Children’s Librarian, (310) 450-0443 Family Hands-On Science Day at the Fairview Branch Library Santa Monica, California – The Fairview Branch Library, 2101 Ocean Park Blvd, in collaboration with the John Adams Middle School Science Magnet and Santa Monica Homeschooling will celebrate the second annual Family Hands-On Science Day on Saturday, April 26 from 11a.m. – 4p.m. Children ages 4 and up and their families are welcome to attend. Plan to pack a lunch and spend the day. The scheduled activities include Science Story Time at 11a.m., Shredder-Man, a recycling art project at 12p.m., Alligator Al and his Amazing Live Reptiles at 1p.m., and Science Fair exhibits and hands-on demonstrations from 2 – 4p.m. This is science fair fun at its best, and guaranteed to inspire future scientists. This event is free and families are cordially invited to attend. No registration is required.
