Date: April 14, 2008 Contact: Shana Johnson, Youth Services Librarian, (310) 458-8799 x 5753 Mother/Daughter “Fairy-Tale” Tea Party at the Santa Monica Public Library Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library invites mothers and their daughters to the second annual Mother/Daughter Tea Party on Saturday, May 17, at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Multipurpose Room, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard. This year’s tea party will have a fairy-tale theme, and girls in kindergarten to 5th grade and their moms or guardians are invited to dress up as fairies, princesses, or any of their favorite fairy-tale characters to enjoy an afternoon of tea, treats and crafts together. During this two hour program, participants will be treated to a readers’ theater performance of a classic fairy-tale, a presentation by members from Westside Ballet in Santa Monica, and other fun activities. This event is sponsored by the Friends of the Santa Monica Public Library. Registration is required as seating is limited. Sign-ups will begin on Monday, April 21 and close on Thursday, May 8.
