Montana Avenue Branch Library, 1704 Montana Ave., presents two programs for parents of preschoolers in January:  "Choosing the Right Kindergarten for Your Child" on Tuesday, January 8 at 7:00 p.m., and "Choosing the Best Fit Preschool for Your Child" on Tuesday, January 15 at 7:00 p.m.

The programs will be led by Christy Bergin, education consultant and founder of Best Fit School Service, and Tanya Anton, author of Westside Guide to Public Elementary Schools.

Christy Bergin has been consulting with families about their preschool and kindergarten options for over four years.  Her recently published book, Best Fit Preschool Directory, is a leading education resource for L.A.-area parents.  As a former teacher combined with her extensive research of LA area schools Christy has made her mark as the go-to person when it comes to choosing a school. Tanya Anton has written for Brain Child magazine, HipMama and other on-line sites including her GoMama blog. She recently co-hosted the Venice edition of "Martinis, Magnets & More" with NPR’s Sandra Tsing Loh and Three Martini Playdate author Christie Mellor, and has coordinated and spoken at many kindergarten-related events locally.

These programs are free and open to the public.  Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis.  For more information, contact the Montana Branch Library, (310) 829-7081.
