The Santa Monica Public Library invites students in grades 9
through 12 and their parents to attend a series devoted to college
preparation and admissions at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica
Boulevard, this Fall between September 26 and October 13.

College Essay-Writing Workshop—Join
us on Wednesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s
multipurpose room for a discussion on brainstorming and writing
effective college essays with journalist and independent college
counselor, Tiiu Lukk.

Library Resources for the College-Bound—This
two-part computer class, which will take place on Saturday,
September 29 and Saturday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main
Library’s computer classroom, will focus on free college-related
resources available to you through the Library. Seating is limited
and will be first come, first served.

Financial Aid Workshop—On Tuesday,
October 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s multipurpose room, a
representative from the University of Southern California will talk
about the financial aid process and the basics of federal and state
aid.
All programs are free and open to high
school students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents. For more
