COLLEGE PREPARATION SERIES AT THE SANTA MONICA PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Santa Monica Public Library invites students in grades 9 through 12 and their parents to attend a series devoted to college preparation and admissions at the Main Library, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, this Fall between September 26 and October 13.

  • College Essay-Writing Workshop—Join us on Wednesday, September 26 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s multipurpose room for a discussion on brainstorming and writing effective college essays with journalist and independent college counselor, Tiiu Lukk.
     

  • Library Resources for the College-Bound—This two-part computer class, which will take place on Saturday, September 29 and Saturday, October 13 at 2:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s computer classroom, will focus on free college-related resources available to you through the Library. Seating is limited and will be first come, first served.
     

  • Financial Aid Workshop—On Tuesday, October 9 at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s multipurpose room, a representative from the University of Southern California will talk about the financial aid process and the basics of federal and state aid.
