|
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Santa Monica Public Library will definitely be the place to be for pet lovers on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 1:00 p.m. Pet health expert, Denise Fleck, will be visiting the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium on the afternoon for “An Introduction to Pet First Aid and CPR.” A former film studio publicist, Denise Fleck became interested in the life-saving skills of Pet First Aid and CPR after one of her own pets suffered a serious injury. Driven by a desire to help her beloved pet in any way possible, Ms. Fleck sought out formal training on pet health, and now shares that knowledge with other caring pet owners through her fun and informative workshops. Pet owners will learn such skills as how to find your pet’s pulse and other vitals, rescue breathing and CPR, bandaging and splinting techniques, how to administer medications, as well as simple everyday tips and tricks to keep our furry friends happy and healthy. This special Library event is free and open to the public. Auditorium seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. For more information on this and other Santa Monica Public Library programs, call (310) 458-8600 or visit www.smpl.org. ### | |
