FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to present Eric Stone, David Corbett and Timothy Hallinan, a trio of mystery/thriller authors whose latest books take place in foreign locales, in discussion on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard. Eric Stone is a Los Angeles writer, whose recent series of mystery novels (The Living Room of the Dead and Grave Imports) are set in such exotic locations as Hong Kong, Cambodia, Vietnam, Macau and Russia. David Corbett is a northern California writer, whose first two novels were set in the United States, but who ventures to El Salvador with his third book (Blood of Paradise). Likewise, Los Angeles-based Timothy Hallinan is a writer whose earliest novels took place in Southern California, but who has now moved on to Bangkok with his latest work (A Nail Through the Heart). All three authors will share the joys and challenges they faced in taking readers on an exciting ride through foreign and mysterious lands. This special library event is free and open to the public. Auditorium seating is limited and on a first arrival basis. No prior reservations are available.
