The Santa Monica Public Library celebrates Mother’s Day with an author talk and book signing with outspoken media commentator, Arianna Huffington.  This special event takes place Sunday, May 13, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard.

Spring 2007 marks the publication of the paperback edition the best-selling book, On Becoming Fearless: In Love, Work and Life, which Ms. Huffington wrote to inspire her own daughters and young women everywhere to overcome fear and embrace success in every aspect of their lives.  Ms. Huffington will mark the occasion with a discussion celebrating the mother-daughter relationship in all of its iterations, as well as the special non-biological bonds between women of all ages, including mentors, aunts, grandmothers, godmothers and friends.

A book sale and signing will follow the discussion.

This program is free and open to all ages.  Seating is limited.  Tickets for Auditorium seats will be released one hour prior to the program.  No reservations are available.
