SANTA MONICA PUBLIC LIBRARY PRESENTS PORTRAITS OF SUCCESS: LIVING WITH LUPUS
|

|
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE The Santa Monica Public Library, in collaboration with Lupus International and Angel City Press, is pleased to celebrate the release of Portraits of Success, by Barbara De Witt, with an author presentation and discussion on Monday, April 9, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard. Barbara De Witt’s Portraits of Success provides a peek into the lives of 29 people who live successfully with lupus. They share their victories—children born, remission achieved, management of flares—and talk about their days of doubt and tears, but most of all they speak of the hope new research brings. Ms. De Witt and others will share many of these stories, as well as provide information on lupus—the disease, treatment, testing and coping tips. A book sale and signing will follow. This program is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. For more information on this and other Santa Monica Public Library programs, please call (310) 458-8600; or visit the Library’s website at www.smpl.org. ### | |
