The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to present two back-to-back "in conversation" events with authors, Scott Ritter and Harry Shearer, that are sure to make the waning days of February special.  Both events will take place in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Boulevard, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.

On Monday, February 26, the Library presents Scott Ritter, the former lead weapons inspector in Iraq for the United Nations Security Commission (UNSCOM) and now a leading critic of U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East, in conversation with award-winning political journalist, Robert Scheer.

The following evening, Tuesday, February 27, the Library welcomes comedic actor, writer and radio host, Harry Shearer (This Is Spinal Tap, The Simpsons, Le Show), for a fun and funny conversation with his Simpsons co-star, Marcia Wallace.

Book sales and signings will follow both events.  These programs are free.  Seating is limited and on a first arrival basis.  Tickets for Auditorium seating will be available one hour prior to each program.  No reservations available.

For more information, contact the Santa Monica Public Library at (310) 458-8600; or visit the Library’s website at www.smpl.org.
