The Santa Monica Public Library hosts “Making Great Melodies,” a concert of vocal music.  Renowned Santa Monica composer and bass vocalist David Avshalomov is joined by distinguished local artists, mezzo-soprano Lauri D. Goldenhersh, soprano Rene Burkett, tenor Jeremy Schoenberg, with accompaniment by pianist Greg Schreiner.  The performance will begin at 2:30 p.m. in the Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, located in the Main Library at 601 Santa Monica Blvd. 

This musical event will feature selections that range from oratorio and opera excerpts to sacred arias, Elizabethan madrigals, show tunes, traditional, and even some folk and light popular songs, as well as a few surprises …!
