GENEALOGY WORKSHOP AT MONTANA AVENUE BRANCH LIBRARY

The Santa Monica Public Library will be offering a series of workshops on genealogy.  The first workshop will be held on Saturday, May 20, at 2:00 p.m.   in the community room of the Montana Avenue Branch Library, 1704 Montana Avenue. 

Joan LoPear of the West Los Angeles Genealogical Society will lead the discussion.  Joan is a genealogy expert with 42 years at UCLA Libraries, and 14 years studying and teaching genealogy.  She'll provide beginners’ tips to help attendees get started on their quest for ancestors and learning about their family history.
