Santa Monica Public Library and Barnes & Noble are pleased to present a book signing and slide show presentation by author and historian Ernest Marquez, on Wednesday, November 3 at 7:30 p.m., at Barnes & Noble on the Third Street Promenade, 1201 Third Street.

In Marquez's new book, Santa Monica Beach, readers learn the history of one of the world's most famous beaches through remarkable photographs and fascinating narrative.  Mr. Marquez is a descendent of some of the first settlers of Santa Monica Canyon and spent his childhood there. The author's fond memories, extensive knowledge of the history of Santa Monica, and personal collection of photographs come together in this beautiful volume that will appeal to long time residents and visitors alike.
