DROP OFF & PICK UP
PROCEDURES
On the main school playground your child will find the yellow and blue
ENRICHMENT KIOSK. A yellow flag with the enrichment logo will mark the
Kiosk as the designated spot. Enrichment Classes
begin and end at the Kiosk. Instructors pick up students from the Kiosk
and return them to the Kiosk at the conclusion of class for sign-out*
and pick-up by a parent or guardian.
Kindergarten students
are directly picked up from their classrooms and taken to their
Enrichment Class by CREST Staff. At the conclusion of the class,
kindergarteners are taken by CREST Staff to either their CREST Childcare
room or to the yellow and blue Enrichment Kiosk for sign-out* and
pick-up by parent(s) or guardian(s). Kindergarteners should be picked
up from the Kiosk immediately at the conclusion of their class as they
are not eligible for Playground Access.
1st-5th grade
students must sign-in at the
yellow and blue Enrichment Kiosk, located on the school playground, as
this is where Enrichment Classes begin and end. Instructors pick-up
students from the Kiosk and return them to the Kiosk at the conclusion
of class. Regardless of whether or not all registered students are
present, Enrichment instructors will begin class promptly on time. For
their own safety and security, students may NOT go
directly to the class at any time.
Students enrolled in Primary CREST Childcare (grades 1-3) will be
picked-up from their childcare rooms and escorted to the Kiosk by CREST
Staff. Students enrolled in Upper CREST Childcare (grades 4-5) are
responsible for meeting their instructor at the Kiosk. Students not
enrolled in CREST Childcare and waiting for their Enrichment class to
begin are instructed to come to the Kiosk to check-in when they are
dismissed from their regular school hours so that they can be
automatically enrolled into Playground Access until their Enrichment
instructor comes to pick them up at the Kiosk to begin class. When
entered into Playground Access all program rules and policies apply.
Please see the Playground Access section of the CREST Handbook. At the
conclusion of the class, instructors will return students to the Kiosk
where:
· Parent(s)
or guardian(s) may sign-out* and pick-up their children. For the safety
and security of the students,
parent(s) may NOT sign-out and
pick-up their children directly from the class at any time without prior
approval from the CREST School Site Coordinator.
· Students
enrolled in Primary CREST Childcare (grades 1-3) will be returned to
their childcare rooms from the Kiosk by CREST Staff.
· Students
in Upper CREST Childcare (grades 4-5) are responsible to return to their
childcare rooms from the Kiosk.
· Students
who are not enrolled in CREST Childcare and are not immediately
signed-out and picked-up will be automatically entered into Playground
Access.
6th-8th grade
students are responsible to
arrive and leave Enrichment Classes on their own without supervision.
*Participants
enrolled in CREST childcare MUST also sign-out with Childcare even if
children have already been signed-out from their Enrichment class(es).

PLAYGROUND ACCESS ENROLLMENT
To ensure adequate supervision,
children not enrolled in CREST Child Care must
register with Playground Access to participate in Enrichment
Classes. Playground Access registration forms are
available at the Enrichment Kiosk or at the Upper Crest
Childcare Room at your child's school. |

near or around and visible from the Playground. All classes scheduled
to take place outside (blacktop, tennis courts, K yards, fields, outdoor
lunch areas, etc.) will be cancelled for the day and the class will be
rescheduled.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Enrichment classes are taught by
professional companies and instructors who bring classes to the school
site. The companies require participation by a minimum number of
children (8) in order to hold the classes. Classes will be held
open as long as possible. Should classes not meet the minimum
enrollment for the class, the class will either be cancelled or combined
with another class. Parents will be informed prior to the first
day of class. Should the class be cancelled, parents will be
refunded for the full amount of the registration fee.
