Formula for Retail : 1 x Business License Tax up
to a maximum of $2,000 per business license per year.
Formula for Non-Retail : $100.00 flat fee per year.
Exceptions : Home based businesses and residential
property owners.
How Funds are Collected : Concurrently with the annual
business license tax (will appear on the Business License Tax Renewal form).
Who Administers the Fund : The Westside Small Business
Development Center administers the fund on behalf of the Main Street
Business Improvement Association (MSBIA). The
MSBIA Board of Directors is elected by the
members of the BID, and determines how the funds are
to be spent.
Approximate Size of Fund : $84,500 per year
Uses for Funds : Parking improvements, promotion and advertising
for Main Street business area, Summer Soulstice and
other promotional events.
