The Human Services Division oversees programs and supportive services for all segments of the community, including:
The Division works directly with a number of advisory commissions, boards, and community stakeholder groups.
The Division is responsible for preparing the Consolidated Plan, submitted every five years to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and is required in order for the city to receive Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and Home Investment Partnership Program (HOME) funds. The Consolidated Plan outlines the city’s housing and community development needs and presents the city’s strategy in addressing these needs over the next five years.
The Division administers the Human Services Grants Program that funds nonprofit organizations to create a safety net of services that improve the quality of life for our residents.
