To find out when the next City Council Meeting will be, check the latest City Council Wrap-up. Regular City Council meetings are normally held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month starting at 5:30 p.m. for the Consent Calendar Closed Session with the public portion of the meeting beginning at approximately 6:30 p.m. Meetings are held in the Council Chamber, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California. The Planning Commission normally meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California.

The Rent Control Board normally meets on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m. in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California. Please visit the Rent Control Board Agenda and Minutes page for the next meeting date and time.

The School Board normally meets on Thursdays at 7:00 p.m., either in the Board Room at District Headquarters, 1651 16th St., Santa Monica, California, or in the City Council Chamber, City Hall, 1685 Main Street, Santa Monica, California.
ISD provides live streaming video Netcasts of selected public meetings as well as video archives, audio and video podcasts. For many other public meetings, audio archives are available.
To receive the Netcast, you will need the free plug-in Microsoft Windows Media Player. Your viewing experience may be enhanced if you download and install the Microsoft Silverlight browser plug-in. Silverlight is especially helpful if you are using the Safari or Firefox browsers and Mac OS X.

DVD Copies of Meetings
If you missed the meeting you want to watch, you have several options.
1. Watch it online. If you want a City Council or Planning Commission meeting, consider watching it on-line. You can go directly to the agenda item that you want.
2. Go to the Main Library. Council Meeting DVDs are available for check-out.
3. Buy a copy. Meeting DVDs are available for purchase at $20 each. Call (310) 458-8590 and place your order. If we have copies on hand, you may come by our office and pick it up the same day. If we need to make a copy of a meeting, it may take 2-3 days and we will call you when your copy is ready. Our offices are located at 1654 19th Street between Olympic and Colorado.
4. Borrow a copy. If we have copies onhand, you can leave a $20 cash deposit and borrow the tape. We will return your deposit when you return the tape. This option is only available is we have a copy on hand, not if we have to make a copy for you.
