A Community Partnership of the
City of Santa Monica and Santa Monica-Malibu Schools
 Santa Monica-Malibu Schools and the City of Santa Monica have collaborated to offer the Playground Partnership at selected elementary schools in Santa Monica.
The Playground Partnership allows school-aged youth, their friends and families unsupervised use of school playgrounds for recreation during non-school and non-CREST hours. Playgrounds offer fields, equipment, exercise paths, basketball courts, handball courts and restrooms.
Use of facilities is limited to youth 18 and under and friends and family who are with them. Others are welcome to use
city parks which are intended for use by persons of all ages.

- Public use of the school playground at other times is strictly prohibited.
- The school playground may be closed, as necessary, for repairs, renovation or inclement weather. See

RULES
& REGULATIONS |
| For your safety, enjoyment and the protection of school property, the following are NOT allowed on the school grounds:
|
- Dogs and other pets
- Tobacco, alcoholic beverages and illegal drugs
- Fires and cooking
- Bicycles, skates, scooters and skate boards
- Metal cleats
- Littering and dumping
- Damaging or destroying school property
- Golf
- Hockey
- Remote control models
- Amplified music and percussion instruments
- Hanging signs or banners without School District authorization
- Interference with maintenance efforts
Use of Play Equipment
- Play equipment is designed for use by children ages 5 through 12. Use of equipment is at the discretion of a responsible adult.
- If the playground is crowded, please give children under the age of 12 priority in using fields and play equipment.
Any behavior or activity that is determined by the City's Playground Representative to be unsafe, hazardous, a violation of rules or inappropriate is prohibited. Violators may be asked to leave the premises.

PERMIT
RESERVATIONS |
- Saturday field permits are available for groups of youth ages 12 & under. Youth groups larger than ten must obtain a permit from the City to use the fields.
- Permitted groups must produce a valid permit on request.
- Rubber cleats may only be used by permitted groups.
