RESIDENCY PATTERNS
Table 1.7 illustrates the
residency patterns of Santa Monica’s population.
Over half, 52.6%, of the City’s population over age
five resided in the same house between 1995 and
2000. Of the remaining 48.4% of the population over
age five, 28.9% moved to Santa Monica from elsewhere
in Los Angeles County, 4.1% move from elsewhere in
the State of California, 9.7% moved from outside the
state and the remaining 4.8% moved to Santa Monica
from outside the country.
