SERVICES IN SANTA MONICA
More than 1/3 of Santa Monica residents are over the age of 50, and the percent of adults 65 and older will increase dramatically over the next 10 to 15 years. In anticipation of this demographic shift, the City's Evaluation of Services for Older Adults outlines recommendations for innovative ways to meet the needs of current seniors, as well as the emerging needs and interests of the 50+ set as they make their way into older adulthood.
This evaluation has already resulted in great things for Santa Monica's seniors, an expanded Dial-a-Ride program, new programs, and improved coordination of services.
With the development of a one-stop center for senior programs at the Ken Edwards Center, 1527 4th Street, the City partners with WISE & Healthy Aging and other community organizations to serve older adults. Please click on the links below to learn more about services available:
