Library Panel Series
The Santa Monica Farmers Markets in collaboration with the Santa Monica Main Library host a quarterly discussion panels in February, May, August and November. Past topics have included home gardening, farmland conservation, ecology, and sustainability. Each panel features farmers from the Santa Monica Farmers Markets as well as local chefs and authors. Ask the Dietitian
The Ask the Dietitian Los Angeles County Program runs from March to November of each year. Stop by the booth at the Wednesday Santa Monica Farmers Market to pick up healthy recipes emphasizing fruits and vegetables from the market.
Master Gardner
Helping you grow more of your own food, even in an urban setting!
Master Gardeners provide free gardening tips, solutions to gardening problems, seeds and seedlings as well as their technical expertise based on the Master Gardener Volunteer Training Program which provides intense gardening training emphasizing organic gardening and covers vegetables, fruits, flowers, shrubs, trees, soils, composting, pests and harvesting. The Master Gardeners of Los Angeles visit the Pico Farmers Market on the third Saturday of each month 9:30 am - Noon.
