Santa Monica, California – The Santa Monica Public Library is pleased to present the latest in its Quality of Life Forum series on Thursday, January 19, at 7:00 p.m. in the Main Library’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Auditorium, 601 Santa Monica Blvd.

Hosted by Kit Cooper, founder of the Quality of Life Project, the Forum is a semi-regular program at the Main Library that spotlights accomplished, engaging, and grounded guest speakers who share best practices on what they do to get the most out of life.

This time, join Kit in conversation with footwear designer Taryn Rose, who will share her inspiring journey -- emigrating from Vietnam to the U.S., becoming an orthopedic surgeon, and later building a successful shoe-design business -- and discuss lessons and perspectives she has learned related to her own quality of life. To obtain further information about the Quality of Life Project, visit www.qualityoflifeproject.org.

Admission is free, and seating is first come, first served. The Santa Monica Public Library is wheelchair-accessible. For special disabled services, call Library Administration at (310) 458-8606 at least one week prior to event. The Main Library is served by Big Blue Bus routes 1, 7 and 10. Ride your bike.
