The Latest Studies of the Bay
- The Santa Monica Bay Restoration Commission conducts large-scale studies and maintains a comprehensive website. Generally, the studies conclude that it is safe to swim in the waters off Santa Monica Beaches, as long as swimmers heed signs at flowing storm drains.

- Santa Monica Pier Aquarium: Contact (310)393-6149 or visit www.healthebay.org. The Santa Monica Pier Aquarium, located under the Santa Monica Pier, is a marine science learning center and aquarium serving schools and the public.
- Santa Monica Baykeeper: Contact (310)305-9645 or visit www.smbaykeeper.org for information on volunteer efforts to protect our coastal waters. Call the Pollution Hotline/Patrol Program at (877)4CA-COAST to report pollution violations.
- California Coastkeeper Alliance: Visit www.cacoastkeeper.org for information on the efforts underway to protect the greater California coastal waters.
