Disaster Assistance Response Training
In the case of an emergency, can you assist family members or neighbors with shutting off their utilities? Do you know the safest way to remove someone trapped in a confined space?
How can you assist emergency response workers after a large scale disaster?
The Santa Monica Fire Department and Office of Emergency Management work together to provide citizens with a one-day disaster response training course.
Instruction on the essentials of emergency response, such as Basic Rescuer Safety, Utility Control, Lifting Heavy Objects, and Disaster First Aid are combined with training exercises at the Fire Department Training Facility.
