RFP for Christmas Tree Vendors 

The City of Santa Monica (“City”) is seeking proposals from Christmas tree lot vendors interested in leasing a City-owned property for purposes of operating a Christmas tree lot.  The property is located at 12040-12048 Wilshire Boulevard at the southeast corner of Wilshire and Bundy, in the City of Los Angeles.  The lot is approximately 10,000 square feet. 

Proposals are due by 5:00 PM on May 31, 2012. (Click here to download the RFP) 

May 16, 2012 -- This RFP has been amended to provide for an option, at the City’s discretion, of up to four (4) additional ninety (90) day extensions during the 2013-2016 Christmas seasons for a total of up to five (5) Christmas seasons, including the 2012 Christmas Season.” (Click here to download the Addendum to this RFP)

Calling All Artists: Art Carts Available for Rent on the Third Street Promenade
    
The Third Street Promenade Vending Cart Program has a unique opportunity for artists who make what they sell. Provenzano Resources, Inc., the management company for the Third St. Vending Cart Program is seeking Artisan applicants for this program that have original handmade products. Artists working in a variety of mediums including photography, painting, sculpture, glassware, pottery, textiles, mixed media, etc. are encouraged to apply. Mass-produced items are ineligible.

There are up to three (3) artisan/weekend only units which will be provided to the artist by Provenzano Resources, Inc. Artists are only required to commit to one month at a time. Weekends are always Saturday (10:00am-10:00pm) and Sunday (11:00am-9:00pm), but can include Fridays if the artist would like additional time to display and sell their art. Artist are responsible for their own sign and will need to remove and store their product nightly.

Rental rates are $700- $1,200 each month depending on season and product.
